A Different Kind of Operator

Updated: 6 days ago
There are four things I do on every job that a network courier cannot. They are not premium features or optional add-ons. They are the base standard, the way every CainDirect job works, every time.

1. Dedicated vehicle as standard - not an upgrade
Every job I run uses a dedicated vehicle. Your consignment is the only one in it. That is not an additional charge, it is how every CainDirect job works at the standard rate.
Some operators offer dedicated vehicle as an upgrade above their base rate. Some load multiple consignments into the same vehicle on what is still marketed as same-day. I do neither. One job, one vehicle, every time, because it is the only way I operate.
2. I am on every job - no driver changes, ever
I take every booking, make every collection, and complete every delivery. There is no driver pool. No dispatcher. No network of drivers across whom jobs are distributed. When you book CainDirect, you book me.
Your requirements, your named recipient, your handover protocol, your timing, your access details, are agreed with me and carried out by me. They do not pass through a system or depend on a driver reading a screen correctly. I agreed them with you. I carry them out.
3. You speak to me - directly, at every point
When you call to book, you speak to me. When something changes mid-job, you call me. I am in the vehicle, I know your job, and I can respond immediately, not via support, not via a platform. You call the number, I answer.
No network courier can offer that. Every multi-driver operation has a layer between you and the person handling your consignment, a booking agent, a dispatcher, a call centre. With CainDirect, there is no layer. I am all of those things, and I am also the person in the vehicle.
4. DBS checked - as standard, on every job
I hold a current Individual Basic DBS certificate, available on request. For healthcare, property, and any sensitive environment, that is not something I arrange for specific jobs, it is in place on every job.
Most courier services do not hold DBS as standard. For clients where it matters, it matters from the first job, not after an additional process.
Why none of this is available from a network courier
It is not a question of effort or intention. Network couriers are built for volume, many jobs, many drivers, high throughput. That model cannot offer a dedicated vehicle as the base standard because shared loads are what make the economics work. It cannot guarantee a named individual because driver flexibility is what makes the network function. And it cannot offer direct communication because there has to be a dispatch layer when you have multiple drivers.
CainDirect is built differently. One operator. Direct model. These four things are possible because of that, not in spite of it.
Next week: Built Around You - the things CainDirect does that shape the service around your requirements specifically.
