How does priority work across CainDirect’s pricing plans?

CainDirect operates on a capacity-managed, owner-operated basis, so availability is allocated by pricing tier.

How is mileage calculated?

Mileage is calculated using Google Maps from the pickup address to the delivery address. Where multiple reasonable route options exist, the average distance is used to ensure fair and consistent charging.

A minimum of 5 miles applies per job. Where applicable, approach mileage may be added and is calculated from the nearest CainDirect service location to the collection address. Any approach mileage is confirmed at the time of booking.

How is approach mileage calculated?

CainDirect operates across defined service areas rather than from a single public depot. Where approach mileage applies, it is calculated from the nearest CainDirect service location to the collection address. This ensures fair and consistent charging based on realistic positioning distance. Any applicable approach mileage is confirmed at the time of booking.

I need a delivery / collection out of hours, how will this be charged?

Out of hours courier jobs are charged at £1.50 per mile, for all miles travelled. This includes travel to the collection point, the loaded journey, and the return to the pickup location. All other plan charges and terms remain unchanged and apply.

Out of hours errands are charged at an hourly rate of time and a half (1.5x) the standard Partnership or Partnership Plus plan rate. All other plan charges and terms remain unchanged and apply.
