How quickly can you collect after I call?
Response time depends on current availability and distance. For ad-hoc urgent jobs, contact Andrew directly by phone or WhatsApp for an immediate availability check. Partnership and Partnership Plus clients receive priority over Standard Plan bookings. For predictable urgent requirements, reserved time slots can be arranged in advance.
Can CainDirect collect from multiple supplier locations in one run?
Yes. Multi-stop collection runs are available, particularly for Partnership and Partnership Plus clients. These are configured at the consultation and priced on distance and time required.
What if the supplier isn't ready when Andrew arrives?
The first 15 minutes at the collection address are free. Beyond 15 minutes, waiting time is charged at £7.50 per 15-minute block. At 30 minutes Andrew will contact you, for Standard Plan clients this is the hard stop and the job is logged as a failed collection. For Partnership and Partnership Plus clients, Andrew may extend beyond 30 minutes at his discretion where schedule permits, up to a maximum of 60 minutes. For jobs where an extended wait is likely, Reserved Capacity provides the flexibility to hold Andrew on site for a guaranteed period without time pressure. Full details are in the Policy Handbook.
Can you handle fragile or precision parts requiring careful transport?
Yes. White-glove handling is standard on every CainDirect job, not an upgrade. Precision components, delicate tooling, and prototype materials are treated with the appropriate level of care. If a specific handling requirement exists, this should be communicated at the point of booking.
Is a regular arrangement possible for ongoing supply requirements?
Yes. Partnership and Partnership Plus plans are designed for businesses with regular requirements. For clients who need the same slot reliably, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, a Standing Arrangement can be agreed at the initial consultation. Andrew commits to holding that slot at the agreed cadence; the client commits to the pattern. It gives certainty rather than flexibility, the slot is yours at that time regardless of demand on Andrew's schedule. Reserved Capacity is also available for specific maintenance windows where exclusive availability for a full period is needed.
What is a Standing Arrangement?
A Standing Arrangement is a formally agreed recurring Reserved Time Slot, the same slot held at an agreed cadence (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or other). Available to Partnership and Partnership Plus clients, including Health Logistics Partnership and Partnership Plus. Unlike an ad hoc booking, a Standing Arrangement gives you priority over that slot. Andrew will not allocate it to another client while your arrangement is in place. The same use-it-or-lose-it terms apply as any Reserved Time Slot. For HL Partnership and Partnership Plus clients, clinical cancellations are exempt from the surrender threshold. Either party can amend or cancel with 30 days notice. Contact Andrew to discuss.
What is your insurance cover for engineering parts and components?
All consignments are covered by Goods in Transit insurance and Public Liability insurance on every job. For high-value engineering components, confirm the value at the point of booking so any specific coverage requirements can be discussed.
